I am a traditional power end-user that also has been blessed with systems administration and data conversion for a new app. Our new app uses the Borland Database Engine, and SQL compatable tables.
What tools are available so that I can populate data fields from flat files, Excel spreadsheets, or Access tables into the db tables?
I have a lot of one to one record data from external sources that needs to be added. I am learning SQL as we speak, but I am still not sure how to take all thisdata and import it.
I have used flat file imports and exports to move data off of and onto a HP3000 before, as well as an AS/400. However, I have no experience with a
decent sized RDB, and my Access skill are weak.
I appreciate any suggestions.
