In an effort to conserve energy we are implementing a policy for everyone to power off their PC’s at the end of the day. I am trying to create a script that will ping a computer on the network to determine if it’s powered on. If so, I want it to shutdown the pc using the shutdown.exe. If it’s already off then end the script. I want to add this to the scheduled tasks so that if the computer is off it will just skip the script until the next day.
