netware print problems

I am running Small Business Suite Version 5 and keep having recurring printing problems (Laserjet 1100)which also seems to slow the network down. I am using client 3.2 and have even tried setting it as windows shared and it still gives me problems.

Is this a network printer? Shared on a workstation? Using TCP/IP or IPX/SPX. Are you using NDPS? Give us some more inforomation and we may be able to help!

We need a little more information as the other person indicated, as to your printing environment. However, for the short term, we once we had a problem with workstation slow downs, especially during printing. Printing took forever. Some times it would not print at all. Was intermittent, and would slow down the whole PC. It ended up being a bad DNS server configuration on the PC. The TCP/IP properties was pointing to a DNS server which did not exist. i.e. wrong IP entered for the correct DNS server. Why it would affect printing we never did figure out. Especially in a NetWare environment with IPX and IP.
