I have a snap server that we just purchased and I want to create a script to map to it. I want to map to it threw the workgroup in windows. I do not want to map to it threw a member server of my Novell server. I have tried the net use command and did not seem to work. Can this be done and does anyone know the correct command?

The local Windows workgroup does not have the capability of authenticating to the snap, as all user accounts only exist on the local workstation. This is why SNAP recently made their servers capable of joining a Windows 2003 Active Directory domain.
SNAP has a decent FAQ and knowledgebase located here:
In addition, are your users authenticating to the local Novell server for security and to their local systems? And if they are doing this, have you noticed an increase in password synchroniation related events (ie my password doesn't work!) Thsi could be resolved by using the user accounts on the Novell server to grant rights to files in the workgroup...
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
