Network Design

By owaiskt ·
i'm in the process of upgrading/re-designing a video network. I've 7 different locations where the 8 video servers are located and i have client connected at all 7 locations which will be requesting to view the video from any of the 8 servers in the network.
I've Dlink L3 switches at every video server location.
The details of the clients are as under
Location 1: 1 server, 1 client
Location 2: 1 server, 1 client
Location 3: 1 server, 3 client
Location 4: 1 server, 1 client
Location 5: 2 servers, 5 clients
Location 6: 1 seever, 1 client
Location 7: 1 server, 17 clients.

I've a gigabit connction across the L3 switches and currently there are conected in a logical ring structure, i.e. Location 3 is connected to Location 1 & 2. Currently, all the serers and cleints are in a single VLAN, and which is why i think the network upgrade has been called.

I would like to request if someone can give me a better alternate deisgn or atleast some idea about how tomake configuration for the above.

I can provide a layout if required for further clarification
