Network issue

By rantf75 ·
I have a belkin router and cable modem. I have set up the belkin router for wireless connection, but for some reason I cannot connect to the internet. I have three laptops and two can connect fine. One says that I am connected to the wireless network but doesnt allow me to access google.com etc.
I am currently hardwired through the router

Did you also set up the computer for the wireless connection?

First, try running the appropriate networking wizard, found under Accessories in the Start menu if you have not done so.

Error messages? Event logs?

Edit: Operating system?

Check the Hosts file

Press the WinKey + r and type or copy this command: notepad C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts click OK or press Enter.

Normally there would be only one entry:

127.0.0.1 localhost
