Can anyone recommend a program that will be able to map/diagram an established network?? The physical network was hard enough to diagram, and I suppose that the logical map will be even harder.
Thanks in advance. Scott

If you have Compaq servers, they come with compaq network management software on the management CD. I haven't worked with it that much so I don't know the level of detail.
Use Visio. If you create with Visio 5 then users with visio 4 will not be able to view. You know it is one of those Monopoly things I think. So you have to use Visio 4 so everyone with Visio 4 and above can view. But if you use Visio 5 then others with visio 4 wont be able to view. I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY.
There are a number of packages, both commercial and GNU/freeware that may suit your needs. On the commercial side, HP OpenView NNM v6.1 is freely available for download at the web site http://www.openview.hp.com and will work for 60 days. There is also the Visio product. On the GNU/freeware site, check out some of the packages at www.snmpworld.com.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
