Network Printer

By mr_t_wright ·
Ok I am having a problem, the network printer keeps showing error, it will have 3-8 doc waiting to print, after I cancel all docs it works fine, but then it does it again. Its a sharp MX-620, has anyone had this issue before? Could it be to many computers trying to print at once?

They should be using a small server of some sort. This will help abit. :)

If you are connecting via the IP directly it could be a problem with the onboard memory of the printer. It could be running out of ram to store the jobs. I've never seen this happen mostly because I usually use a print server regardless.

I'd recommend using a print server. If you are using a print server then I'd take a look at the spooling service, maybe some conditions cause this process to stop or hang. You'll have to comb thru event logs and whatnot to troubleshoot.
