network printer

recently my companies pc infested with bugbear and opaserv virus.After cleaned all the virus. I'm facing this problem, hope u can help me out. The problem is all my network printer can't be print and always turned to offline showing this message " There was an error writing to \\ws100\hp for printer(hp laserjet 1200 series). here was a problem printing to the printer due to an unknown system error. restart windows, and then try again.This printer will be set to work offline.To save your orint job in the local printer queue click o.k. " . There's a domain and different workgroup in my company. Hope to hear from u soon. Thanks.

I suggest deleting all connections to printers then adding them again using your TCP/IP printing option.

try to uninstall all the printer and reinstall it again. maybe the printer driver was still infected by the virus or the driver for the printer has been deleted during cleaning of virus. some anti virus cannot clean an infected file, so it automatically delete all the infected files.

Sounds like the Bugbear is still residing somewhere. Isolate all PCs from the network (boot to safe mode) and run the Bugbear removal tool from Symantec. Check all print queues on servers including Netware and flush all jobs. Reset all embedded/ desktop print servers. Once you're certain that all queues are clean turn on all PCs. If this doesn't cure the problem it's likely that you have missed a queue or device somewhere.
