New sites seem to be being broken to keyboard computer systems

    by desimeq11 ·

From observing the sites I have signed up for in the past, it seems any which switches to a mobile login system AND lets go of an email login system where the email is optional or required to log in, simply destroys itself over time.
Paypal for example, seems to have an on and off required mobile number login then number OR email login, and I am from the days where it was email only.

I am wondering, If anyone knows why companies LET GO of an email login system. I am stuck trying to use paypal on my desktop from time to time where now, as of today, only mobile login verification is required to login on the defualt browser website. Thanks in advance.

I think that it is due to 2 factor identification to minimize possible fraudulent usage of your account/information. Many credit cards, banks, cell phone stores and other companies now require it, like it or not.

Don’t forget, you can still use your computer, just may have to do the additional step(s) for verification.

      Hi
you’re experiencing issues with new sites not being fully compatible with keyboard-based systems. This can sometimes happen if accessibility and keyboard navigation aren’t prioritized during development. A well-optimized site should ensure seamless functionality across all input devices. Addressing this can greatly enhance user experience.

      Hi, desimeq
Companies are shifting toward mobile logins primarily for security and user experience reasons. Mobile numbers can provide an extra layer of security with two-factor authentication (2FA), making accounts less vulnerable to breaches than just email alone. Additionally, as mobile usage grows, some platforms prioritize mobile verification to streamline access and cater to a mobile-first audience. Unfortunately, this can sometimes impact usability on desktops and for users who prefer traditional email logins.
