I have replaced my hard drive on my PC, now after reinstalling Win XP I am unable to even get “256 colors” for display settings and resolution will not go past 640×480. The display adapter is a PCI card and I have installed the correct drivers forit. Win XP will allow me to change the resolution and the settings however upon applying them the screen goes blank and then just has several lines steaking across it. I have tried several monitors as well as changing the monitor settings and nothing works, please advise.
