No internet connect on wireless network

I am running XP sp2 with a vigor 9200g wireless router connected toa blueyonder modem Safecom 802.11g+ Wireless PCI Card. I can see and ping the router but can't connect to the internet. I have a dell wireless laptop and a pc which is hard wired to the router both can surf. I have checked the network key and thats correct. could anyone point to me where I have gone wrong??

Check to see what WIFI security settings you have in place.

What is the default gateway on your wireless NIC? If you can PING the internal interface of the router, but you can't resolve past that, then it sounds like you are missing the gateway.
And without the gateway, you won't be able to route packets past the router.
Your gateway should be the internal IP address of your router (the router address you can PING).

Some of the new laptops have a wireless button on it. You may have to click on the little button with the little antena picture on the keyboard and it should light up. check your internet exporer options and connections. Also see if you are getting a signal strength
