I can not see any pictures, logos, no graphics what so ever on the net nor in my e-mail.. I have run my virus scanner and run all of Norton Utilities and ran, disk scan, defragged and disk cleanup and nothing is helping. I am running Windows 98, Explorer 5.01, 124 ram and 8 gig hard drive. Now I know how it feels when the alt for pictures are not there and you don't know what the pictures are there for or where they will take you. I know I am going to go to my site and make sure that all my alt's let you know were they will take you and what they are for. Help

My first thought was that the recent ILOVEYOU virus erased picture and music files and also hosed the browser. The only practical cure for that is a fresh install.
If the system had been working fine and just stopped, I'd place a heavy bet on the cause being a virus.

I guess the other thing I would try just for grins would be to try and open a *.jpg file that you know is good (have someone send you one by e-mail) and see if your browser will display it. You can check the settings as suggested in an earlier response but you'll probably find the settings to be correct.
In that case, you may want to try removing and re-installing the browser.

best wishes...

Graphic files have different extensions.
Perfom a search for those extensions on your PC (like *.gif or *.jpg) and try to open them in different viewers, or browsers.
The graphic files that your browser will not show are still in your temporaryinternet folder.
Maybe delete or change the file type in 'folder options' for those graphics files you can not see.
