I require some assistance on a Viewsonic monitor VP181 that keeps showing no signal when accessing pc in the morning.
System:
Dell Optiplex GX100, 600 mhz PIII
Win2k Pro
Nvidia TNT2 model64 pro
Basically one of our higher ups logs of her pc at night, leaving it on as others do without issue. When she comes in the morning and bumps mouse or tap keyboard, monitor light turns green for about a second and displays “no signal” as if the vid cable is loose. Check cable, fine, hit power button on/off no change. Inorder to get signal you must reboot pc, then all is well. We have swapped out vid card, monitor, reset power management in the os (except for bios, going to check that next)We will also check the hibernation tab also, but it has us baffled and we know its got to be something silly that’s been overlooked or maybe a profile issue that hasnt taken in effect?. Humbly request ideas, thx people.
