I have no sound coming from the speakers, both external and the internal. When I came upon this I tried to play a song through MusicMatch and I received the following error, “WaveOut Format not supported.” I investigated further and found that I have working properly my CM18738/C3DX PCI Audio Device, but there is one missing that was present before I had to reboot. It was listed as an “unknown device” and Windows couldn’t locate the appropriate driver. I tried but couldn’t locate it on the Windows Install Disk either. There was an Error Code 28 along with the message. Microsoft has no description of Code 28 that I could find. Any possible answers and/or solutions? I would appreciate an answer. There was always an answer to whatever dilemma I had!
Hmmm! Could I install the missing (?) driver from my system disk?
