No TCP/IP Support

by rob_weaver . Updated 23 years, 9 months ago

I have a Win98 Sony Vaio PCG-Z505R Laptop that states “No TCP/IP support has been installed on this system” whenever I try to use an application that requires the TCP/IP protocol. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the TCP/IP protocol several times to no avail. TCP/IP is listed in NETWORK | CONFIGURATION TAB in the properties of Network Neighborhood. What am I missing here? I’ve also restored the registry from backup.
