I installed a WSUS 3.0 server. This is my first time. To check and make sure everything is ok, I synchronized and downloaded updates. I only set a local group policy for a few pc’s. I have a couple of questions.
1. The PC’s did not reboot. I configured automatic updates for number 4, check everyday, at 4:00. I think the 4:00 maybe an issue, dows the PC know that I am referring to 4:00 am and not 4:00 pm. I know I did not use 16:00, but does the PC know.
2. I pushed an update to one of my PC’s. the staus report says:
Security Update for Windows Xp (KB929969) Approval is set to Install, but the status says Not Applicable. I also checked and it said 180 installed/not applicable.
Did it install these updates. One update is for Media Player which does not exist on this PC. When I push the updates does it try to install updates on machines that do not have the software installed such as Net Frame. I use version 2.0 but some PC’s use 1.1. Will it install updates on my machine for 1.1.
What does Not Applicable mean.
