nslookup Failed

By ajordon ·
When I do a nslookup from any of my machines I recive the following message:

*** Can't find server name for address Non-existent domain
Default Server: UnKnown

If I go to the server a do it; it works. I have a reverse DNS zone.

Windows Server 2003

looks like you don't have a primary DNS server defined in your TCP/IP properties. (Default Server: Unknown).
If you're getting your IP address from DHCP, you'll have to check on your DHCP server. Or you can go to the properties for TCP/IP (That's in the properties of your NIC) and add the ip for your DNS server there.
