I have about aprox 100GB of data to backup on a file server that is also a dc that runs on w2k3 server ent.
I am interested, I have made the usual backup strategy, monday noraml backup, tue-fri differential backup on a network share for now, later I will get backup disk cartridges.
I have used the append option in the backup.
I am interested, when the backup week is over, and a user overwrites a file that was in the first week backuped, and now in the second week backuped again but the overwritten version of the for example excel file, how can I restore the firs file that is old say about 14 days, and has been ovewrittne twice, but I want the first version. That is scenario that confuses me.
