offline files in server 2003

i have created test envrnt. in vmware having one domain controller a member server(win2003)and a xp client. just testing offline files access,came to see that not happening in member server. shared a folder in DC and made the settings for offline caching. shared folder is able to access from member server and xp client. cannot make available offline from the member server whras this feature(make available offline)working from xp machine..Any suggestions?
