We are trying to upgrade our users to Windows XP Pro and have discovered several printing problems with older programs. Two that come to mind are Procomm Plus 2.1 for Windows (by Datastorm Technologies) and ViewNow! 2000 (by RedRock Technologies).Both programs perform properly under Win9x.
Under WinXP, using the ALT-L screen print function in Procomm Plus only sends the very last line to the printer. ViewNow! doesn’t print at all, does not report an error, and the job never enters the spooler.
This error occurs on both network and LPT-attached printers. All our printers work flawlessly under MS Office 2K, and we have been sure to install XP drivers on the XP systems.
Any advice would be appreciated.
