Outlook 2003 Attachement Problems

By jessican ·
I have a user who uses outlook 2003 on exchange server 2003, there is one particular email which is sent daily to him which he cannot open. It worked fine until recently. The email shows the paperclip for the attachement in the header but doesn't show an attachment. If i open the users mailbox from my PC i can see and open the attachments. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but it didn't make any difference. Does anyone have any ideas?

A spam filter is perhaps removing the attachments to email, did you check the internet security settings?

Yeah checked security. I can send the same attachment under a different file name and it works. The users has been receiving this email for 1 year + and has just this week stopped working

Cached mode?

You can delete the .OST cache file, or toggle the setting under the mail profile properties (turn off cache mode, turn on Outlook, shut down Outlook and turn it back on).
