Outlook 98 PAB entries will not sort

Have a laptop user who keeps addresses in his Personal Address Book in Outlook 98. However, they will not sort alphabetically even after separating the first and last names (MS KB article Q187237).

This _might_ work: Open Outlook, go to Tools/Services and remove the Personal Address Book from the list. Close Outlook. Go to Control Panel/Mail and add the .PAB back to the Services list from there. Choose your sorting option in the dialog boxas you select the .PAB file. Open Outlook again and it may re-sort the list. Hope this helps!

While this didn’t actually solve the problem, it took me to the place where I could solve it myself. Turns out, the user was not using the MS Exchange profile; and when I changed him to use Exchange, the address book sorted. Thank you!
