Outlook toolbar problem

By GJ2008 ·
I removed something call Hotbar from PC which was some type of annoying spyware toolbar and am now not able to use any of the options on the 'Formatting' toolbar in Outlook when replying to or forwarding emails. Everything is greyed out. When creating new emails it all work fine and I'm able to use the Formatting toolbar. Is this anything to do with removing Hotbar or am I just missing something?

Hotbar won't have any effect on Outlook. Its Malware. Your Outlook problem may be solved by clicking on the actuall message your replying to. After you've put your cursor in the message window and then trying to the format bar.

Hope this helps

i believe it very well could be making his outlook problem. if uninstalling thru control panel has left you in this state, i hear there is an uninstaller available on the hotbar website. www.hotbar.com
malware is same as a virus without reproduction if you ask me. yuk.

Next time you wish to uninstall sptware or adware or malware I'd suggest you use Adaware6.0 from www.lavasoft.de instead of tackling the problem using the uninstall utility of the malware item....Re-install hotbar, get Adaware6.0, install & update it, allow it to scan all files (I can give you the full setup instructions if you want which runs deeper than the deefault setup, or those instructions are on their forum site), and then let Adaware remove anything in the spyware category it finds.

Good Luck.

The hotbar uninstall utility (found on their site), just renames the files and they hide out further...It's almost as bad as Trellix for that.
