OWA 5.5 problem

My IT manager is having problems loging into our Outlook Web access 5.5, he receives a "failed to connect to the exchange server" message when logging in, this problem seems to only occur on his account as i've tried around 10 others and they all log in fine, including people with larger mailboxes etc. not sure where to look next?
