When I log into our packeteer appliance our bandwidth is spikeing. When we look at the top talkers all of the IP addresses point back to a company called “Akami Technologies”. We have “classified” those IP’s to Discard and we tried setting the priority for those IP’s to throttle them with both not really fixing the issue.
Does anyone know a way in packateer to see who is reaching out to those IP’s from within the network without configuring IDS (intrusion Detection” or a way to shape traffic to help this?
I hope this is not to vauge an explination.
