panasonic flatbed all-in-one KX-FLB800 won’t share

by robert . Updated 19 years, 3 months ago

I have a new panasonic flatbed all-in-one KX-FLB800 printer. It is directly hooked up to one computer via USB cable. The printer functions properly on the PC.

I selected share on that PC. I was able to locate that PC on the other two PC on the LAN. Everything appeared to be fine. You can print a test page on both PC. You can print from notepad. You cannot print any word / excel document.

Windows troubleshoot indicates driver issue. I cannot locate any stand alone driver from Panasonic. Panasonic tech support says I can’t share this printer. Am I missing something? I’m not sure what the printer could have to do with sharing. Will this printer not share? Can anyone locate a proper driver for this. The PC its on runs server 2K. My laptop runs XP Pro SP2. The third PC runs 2K Pro.
