PC Locks up

When I have outlook and other programs open I lock up when I do control alt delete there is Iexplore (not repsonding) This just started about a month ago once I end task on that I have to end task on Outlook and all seems ok. I can't figure out why this is happening and can't fix it either.

Please describe your computer and operating system. Also which microsoft software updates you have installed.

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 98 (4.10, Build 2222) A
Processor: AMD Duron(tm) processor, MMX, 3DNow, ~1016MHz
Memory: 120MB RAM
Primary File System: FAT32

1) download adaware for free from lavasoftusa.com and clean your system.

2) update to latest anti-v. definitions for your av program and do a full scan.

3) uninstall internet explorer / (repair if you can) - Reinstall internet explorer, download latest service packs / updates.

Should work fine after all that.

What video card, and version of IE do you have?

If you have IE 6 or DirectX 9 installed, you likely need to update the driver for your video card.

If a new video driver is not available, or does not fix the problem, you need to drop back to IE 5.5 SP2 and DirectX 8.1

ie6 has bugs, better off with ie5.5
