By tarus ·
Every time I turn my PC off the setting change. I have to reset the setting everytime I turn on my PC. I have checked the power management and the power from the socket is fine. It appears that I either have a harddrive and/or motherboard problem. last but not least, if, I have to rebooth the setting will change and I have to reset them again! Can you give me some insight.

Hi
sorry i was in a vacation.
I would Go to the motherboard manuficturer site and check for battery type where you may find it in any store. or take your pc to any store or workshop to buy one and install it.
Secondly i would check as i said before the COMS jumber setting which effect the holding of information.

Good luck

Mohamed

Check the CMOS battery. It's on the motherboard. It probably looks like a watch or calculator battery (small and round). Good luck.

Hi,
You have a bad CMOS battery. This battery is what holds the setup information which you keep having to change every time you shut your computer off & then restart it. If you have the manual or can physically locate the battery on the mtherboardI would suggest you replace the battery. Mike
