PC running XP Home switches itself on every night even though it has been shut down. It is on a home network with another PC running Win98 but both are shut down. An entry in the computer management log appears every night at 00:00am and reads “EAPOL” followed by “NPROTECT” (ok – I understand that’s Norton) But what is EAPOL and how can I stop it booting up every night?
