I have one PC with XP pro loaded and other Laptop with XP home loaded. Now I made a Peer to Peer connection by myself. IP 192.168.100.2 mask 255.255.255.0 for PC and 192.168.100.3 mask 255.255.255.0 for Laptop.
Now this Peer to Peer is without any router or any hardware between them. Workgroups are same.
I am getting ping from Laptop to PC. But from PC when I tried to ping Laptop I am not getting.
I have tried to share file from both sides but I was not able to do so. But very strange thing is I tried to make connection from Laptop by using XP’s inbuilt Remore Desktop connection and I was able to connect to my PC from Laptop and I have controlled my PC from Laptop. But I was not able to share my file as on normal Network.
Why this is happening ? How to solve this and share my files from both side ? What am I missing ?
