I’m working on a multicast audio routing system, and I’m having trouble with switch flooding and hanging up.
I think I’ve gotten it under control, by using more strict QOS/COS settings.
The multicast audio hardware MFG. recommends using a cisco catalyst with CGMP and PIM (dense)
I’m using a Dell PowerConnect with IGMP (v2) and DVMRP.
So I’m just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on CGMP vs. IGMP & PIM vs. DVMRP.
