Hi,
I have a CISCO 3500 Switch with Gigabit Ethernet interface and a Nortel Layer 2/3 Fiber Gigabit Ethernet Switch Modules in an IBM BladeCenter. I have set IPs on both (10.10.10.1 on the CISCO and 10.10.10.4 on the Nortel) and they are linked via Fiber optic cable. The leds are green on both sides and the CISCO shows the Interface as up when connected and down when disconnected but I can’t ping one from the other.
I am completely new to Fiber and am at a loss at what to test now.
Any idea any one ?
