I haven’t worked with routers for a few years and need some assistance here. I am sure it is an easy one. I have a Cisco 2621 with FA0/1 set w/ip 172.21.1.1…..with a x/over cable attached to an xp laptop with ip addr 172.21.1.4…..I can ping the router but when I telnet/ssh into the router from the xp laptop I cannot ping the laptop from the router.
XP firewall is turned off.
What have I overlooked?
