I have a situation where two PIX 501’s are linked by a site to site VPN one is on IOS 6.3.(1) and the other is on 6.3(5)Both are using DES MD5 encryption. The PIX on IOS 6.3.(5)has a LAN of 192.168.3.0 the PIX on IOS 6.3.(1)has a LAN of 192.168.2.0, when pinging from the .2 LAN to a host on the .3 LAN the VPN will come up and pings then work from either LAN, when pinging from the .3 LAN to the .2 LAN the VPN won’t come up
