for a franchise chain of restaurant, would web based development like ASP.NET and PHP more suitable than visual basic, taking into consideration the data transfer aspect where, the HQ would want to see realtime transaction from all branches. The branches are scattered all over the country. And can web based developed system transfer data to server over phone lines rather than the internet.Thanks
