Power Point Projector

By ddwebb ·
We are doing some prewriting for future expansions. We would eventually want a Power Point Projector at a certion location in our building. What type of cabling should we run to this spot, CAD 5, coax, power and how much and how many?
We would appreciate any advice.

There are a few WI-FI enabled projectors out there. If that would be an option then all you need is std 110V AC.

If WIFI is not an option I would run at least 2 11-v outlets (1 for the projector and one for the computer using it. Assuming that you want to be able to grab the ppt file from a network look at a minimum of 1 CAT 5 or better drop. You may want to consider more than one drop if you have to support multiple presenters.

Please note you will need to talk to your projector vendor to determine exactly what connection they need between a PC and the projector.
