PowerQuest Drive Image Pro

By heathermain ·

I am trying to find information on how to use a CD instead of a bootable floppy to access to images on the server. Is this possible. I know that you can load the actual image from CD but our images are too big for CD. Thanks in advance.

hummm lets see, the topic is PowerQuest's Drive Image and your question revolves around accessing images on a server for ??? remote install????

Yes you can create a bootable CD. Roxio EZ Creator can do it. Nero can do it. Most CD burning software should have a way of creating a bootable CD.

Now if you want to do a remote installation of the O/S in unattended mode using an image created and stored on the server, you'll have to have remote install service installed, a second computer as the source for creating the image,a distribution point on the server designated as the network installation folder, and a PIX NIC on the target computer to boot up to the network install folder.
