Have a W2K machine printing to a HP 2200 printer on the network. No printer server involved here. The issue is: When jobs are printed, the print Q does not clear the print jobs, instead the status just say's printed. When the PC is shutdown and restarted, all the print jobs that where printed prior to shutdown, print all over again...???? Help...

try this

Go to the printers folder, then right-click on your print queue and choose properties. Click on the Advanced tab, and near the bottom you will see a group of checkboxes. Look for one that is called 'Keep printed documents'. If this box is checked, that is what's causing the jobs to stay in your queue. Uncheck the box, apply, ok, and you should be set.

Bnik,

This link should sort you out...

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?locale=en_US&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=28861&prodTypeId=18972&objectID=c00037726

I had a Hp LaserJet 2200 and a Hp LaserJet 1300 that would show all jobs as "printed" in the Queue on the server. There are three recommended fixes from Hp in the link above...

Enjoy,

Paul
