I am experiencing frustrating problems with my relatively new (5months) HP 950c printer.
There is little consistency in the way it performs. Switching on causes it to behave as though it is receiving or preparing to receive data, even though none has or is being sent to it. On occassions it prints pages and pages of symbols on others, it prints nothing at all.
I have been in contact with HP who despite their best efforts have failed to resolve the problem. There must be help out there somewhere.
I am running Windows 98/Office 2000 premium and printing in series through a scanner to lpt1. I have tried connecting direct to printer – no effect. I have just had a new baseboard fitted complete with new chip – no effect. I understand that some conflicts exist between HP and some software and have eliminated that area. I have exhausted all the physical possibilities (I think!!) where do I go now????????
