Printing Crashes Computer Windows 98SE

by mbaker2396 . Updated 24 years, 1 month ago

We have a HP Laserjet 4MV printer which is set up as a NDPS printer on Netware 5.0. Our workstations are all running Windows 98 SE. One workstation is repeatedly having difficulty printing on this printer, not always, but randomly and frequently. After sending a job to the printer, the workstation crashes and needs to be rebooted. This usually happens from Micorsoft Word 2000 but has also occurred from IE 5.5. We are using the most current printer driver and have no problems printing from other workstations. We have run the “Repair” for Microsoft Office 2000, removed the printer from the workstation and reinstalled it, tried turning off virus software and screensavers, all to no avail. Does anyone have any other ideas? I’m running out. Thanks
