What is the printer? A HP, Lexmark ect. And what is the model 4+ or T500 look at the printer and write down all the info and tell us more about it. Is there any error messages or beeps? Try using a can of compressed air to **** out the printer.

There might be some object that blocks the paper feeder

It's possible that the rollers which pick up the paper have deteriorated to the point they can no longer pick up the paper. This can be easily checked by inspecting the paper pickup path and ensuring the rollers are in good working order.

If after checking this the printer still won't pick up the paper, then I would recommend contacting your printer manufacturers' service dept.

Is it a HP deskjet? If it is you might want to check the wheel inside that feeds it..I have seen these break on these printers..

If the paper is not picked up at all from the paper tray it most likely the circuitry or the motor for driving the pickup roller.

If the paper feeds a little the pick up roller maybe worn out.

If the paper accordians in the printer they is most likely an obstruction.

More details... model, error code, how old the printer is would be helpful.
