Printing Through Terminal Services with server 2008

By jardaileq ·
I have a small issue concerning a 2008 server, with windows XP pro workstations running RDP Client 6.1.

The company I am trying to help has a DOS based system and is trying to print to a local computer through Terminal Services on a 2008 Server. The printer is shared and we can print to the local printer when printing a test page, but we cannot get the printer to print when using the DOS program. The program does run on the server and it does it well, the printers are setup to print to a print spooler. For example, the specific printer is shared as hplj. So in the print direction area of the program itself, it's setup to print to \\server\hplj. This used to work before they replaced the printer (it was using server 2003), but now it doesn't. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
