Problem accessing network drives after changing domain password

by johnamott . Updated 17 years, 9 months ago

Our network is running Win Server 2003 and all clients are Win XP Pro. After changing a clients password he lost the ability to access mapped network drives. He can login with the new password without a problem and several drives are mapped through a logon script. These worked fine before changing the password. Now when we try to access the drives we are prompted for user name and password. The new and old password don’t work to gain access. The credentials don’t seem to be valid. I tried resetting the password again. I even tried to delete the account and start from scratch but ended up with the same result. Is active directory or some other credential program corrupt? Any suggestions?
