Problem between Branches
I have a branch campus that is 7 miles away. We have a T1 Point to point connection that is live between campuses, but the branch campus has no internet connection on site. (They are supposed to get internet through the main campus. over the point to point.) However, I cannot get internet service working over that link.
So here is the setup.
Main Campus
Network 10.1.0.0 /16
Default Gateway 10.1.1.1
Router to Branch Campus
LAN Interface 10.1.254.254 /16
WAN Interface 10.10.10.1 /30
Static IP route for 10.2.0.0 to 10.10.10.2
Router AT Branch Campus
WAN Interface 10.10.10.2 /30
LAN Interface 10.2.1.1 /16
Static IP route for 0.0.0.0 to 10.10.10.1
Branch Campus
Network 10.2.0.0 /16
Default Gateway 10.2.1.1
These settings were set by the phone company that put the Point to Point link in for us. Are those settings correct?
From the Branch Campus I can ping the Internet Router at the Main Campus (10.1.1.1) with no problems. So the connection is live and working.
From the Branch Campus I can also ping machines on the 10.1.0.0 network at the Main Campus with no problems.
However, I cannot ping google.com from the Branch Campus nor the IP address for google (74.125.127.100). I cannot ping any Public IP address from the Branch Campus.
The main campus is fine and can ping and browse everywhere on the internet.
Any ideas?
