I have a brand new machine running Win XP Pro + a Philips CD burner. I’m using Nero Burning Rom (5.5) to burn my CD’s and so far I didn’t have any problem. The situation now is that I can still burn any data CD without any problem, but as soon as I copy one of my music CD, or create a music CD from MP3’s to Audio in order to make it readbale by my HIFI, Nero just hangs at 6% and the only solution to get rid of it is a hard shut down. It seems that it hangs when burning the lead-in track, but I’m not quite sure. I don’t think it’s a problem with the CD burner as data CD’s are fine; but I can’t point where could be the software problem.
I alrready tried to decrease the burning speed, to burn an image first, to try an older version of Nero; same results. Would you know what else I could try ? Thanks in advance
