Hi I have WINXP Pro with a Zonealarm pro firewall. I am able to connect to my ISP (I have several and can connect to them all) and launch IE and browse to certain websites.
When I connect to say techrepublic /ebay the homepage loads but when I try to login to my account the usual IE error page comes up, after the server seems to fail to respond to requests from my computer and times out (after many minutes)(i.e the light on my compuer flashes in the toolbar).
My initial thought was that either the IE or Zonealarm firewall was the issue and so disabled the firewalls, cookie control etc but this has had no effect.
I have spent many hours trying to resolve this by changing certain setttings uninstalling, reinstalling IE and TCP/IP protocol etc but all to no avail PLEASE HELP it is driving me mad.
On another note we have another computer in the house with the same software but there is no problem with browsing the internet on this computer.
