Problems copying files over a network.

I’m having an odd problem with copying files over my network.
Hardware/Software Particulars:
Windows 98 second attempt, Promise FastTrak66 mirroring two IBM 13.6 GB drives, Linxsys EtherFast 10/100 switch in a box FESWSK5, version 2.0 drivers.
Asus F7400 notebook, win98se, Linksys EtherFast 10/100 CardBus PC Card model PCMPC200, version 2.02 drivers.
After a lot of fighting with win98 and Internet Connection Sharing I finally got everything hooked up, connected, dialing, talking and sharing. I had a similar problem to this with exactly the same Linksys cards and switch! You need to check that your PC's are all set up identically as far as your network protocols are concerned. Probably a good bet to remove all the clients and protocols(leave the adapters there though) and then I installed Client for Microsoft Networks & Client for Netware Networks and make sure you have IPX/SPX, TCP/IP and NETBEUI as protocols - this worked for me - best of luck!!

I've never had much luck using drag-n-drop to copy files over a network. One work-around is to select the files then use edit/copy, then move to the target folder or directory and use edit/paste.
