Problems installing 6.0 on HP dc5100 mt

By nathanwoods22 ·
I've been trying to install Netware 6.0 on an Hp dc5100 mt, the problem I have is when I load the enbedded NIC cards driver B57.lan and nbi.lan the system ABENDS. I think that the problem resides in the CPQMPK.PSM not being compatible with the DC5100. Just wondering if anyone had any wisdom to share. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you give a little more to go on. How many processors?
I believe cpqmpk.psm is compaq's multiprocessor module, have you tried Novell's mps14.psm?

If it is a single have you turneded off hyperthreading in the BIOS or Virtual or whatever HP calls it?

If you think it is the imbedded NIC put an Intel or 3com in a PCI slot and disable the embedded NIC.
Are you using the NW6.0SP5 overlay?

Are you installing from the latest CD overlay image? The B57 drivers are notoriously flakey. If all else fails, diable the on-board NIC and put and old 3Com or Intel card to get the OS installed, then try re-enabling the NIC.
