Okay, so I’ve been using RIS to do some computer imaging and I’m used to getting the computer ready and then running riprep on the shared folder from the server.
I updated the server to SP2 and it got the Windows Deployment Services update. However, this new update looks extremely different and difficult to use. I can’t figure out how to create new images with WDS now. I couldn’t even get my desktops to pxe boot into the server so I rebuilt the server and it is now running in WDS native mode and now I’m trying to create a WIM Windows XP SP2 image, but that is not working.
Any detailed step-by-step instructions for using WDS with WinXP SP2?
